Alternative Photography Workshop
SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 9, 10am-1pm
WITHOUT A DARKROOM!
Instructors John & Christine Milleker bring authentic historic photography throughout the East Coast in alternative types of artistic printmaking.
Creating exposure bases on paper, and placing natural elements on it yields prints in colors of “blue” with optional processes of bleaching, toning, and hand coloring.
Using overexposed silver paper and moisture from plant atter create many effects and odd colors including black and white.

The 1842 process uses plant pigments on photo papers and explores how ot extract pigment and how to expose and protect them.
Fees: $40 Member | $50 NonMembers

KIFA, or Kent Island Federation of Arts, was founded in 1963 as a small non-profit community organization, built on making the arts accessible to Kent Island and the surrounding environs.
Maureen has instructed in Stevensville for 18 years and guides beginners and advanced level students for painting in oil, acrylic or other medium with one-on-one instruction for techniques as students selct their own subject matter.
