Haven Ministries’ Art for Your Home Program

Five years ago, Haven Ministries initiated a program to provide original artwork to its clients, especially those individuals and families making the transition from being homeless or living in a shelter to permanent housing. This program is called “Art for Your Home.”   We likely would all agree that when money is tight, purchasing art is probably not a high priority. But Haven Ministries strongly believes that art can help to create a powerful sense of home.

A wonderful opportunity for artists. Paint a live model at Chesapeake Fine Arts Studio at the art studio on Thompson Creek Road. Paint live models in an open studio workshop. No instruction. Beginning January 8th on Thursdays from 10:00am to 1:00pm. The cost is $20 for a three hour session. To reserve a spot, contact Judy at jdspechtart@gmail.com Easels provided.

My Little Studio at 321 Old Love Point Road offers KIFA members 10% off art supplies including the miniature canvases! Be sure to come to 3rd Fridays, 5-7 pm, each month, come meet the artists, live music, and refreshments.
