ART MATTERS FOR EVERYONE
at Kent Island Federation of Arts
Stevensville, MD, April 4, 2018: Kent Island Federation of Arts is having an open art show in April. The Art Matters for Everyone show will focus on celebrating artist and community connections through expression. The show will run from April 4th through the 28th and have its opening reception April 7th from 3-5 PM.
Art Matters for Everyone will take a heartfelt look at the emotional and inspirational context of making things and creating beauty. Kent Island Federation of Arts has eagerly reached out to local groups such as ART EAST of Stevensville and assisted living community Atria Manresa in Annapolis. Non-traditional students in the area, such as those at Anne Arundel Community College, have also been encouraged to share their work. This show is special because it specifically aims to show how far art reaches in our local communities alone. Works of all types have been encouraged, such as drawings, paintings, sculptures, multimedia and mixed media.
